Maria Lasitskiene: I never talk about the result before the competition. I just know I want to give it all and jump the highest possible. I like the stadium and I really enjoy the support from the audience, which was really great last year during Continental Cup. So I’m really looking forward to the competition tomorrow.

Maria Lasitskiene: I would be really happy if there would be more athletes jumping over 2 meters consistently because usually I remain in the sector alone. I need to find the power myself. I have to push myself on my own which is not easy all the time. But I think that the girls will improve their jumping for the World Championships and there will be more 2 meters jumpers. On the other hand I always try to focus only on myself and don’t think too much about the others.  

Maria Lasitskiene: Three centimetres! No seriously… It is a long way in our “high jump world". It’s a lot of hard work and I need to start thinking differently, because it’s a another level. I felt it last week when I tried 2.07. Comparing to previous jumps, it was totally different. But I don’t want to be destracted by this. 

Maria Lasitskiene: I don’t want to think about it right now. It’s just the start of the competition. I need to focus and we will see during the afternoon. Anyway the hights are managed by my coach.
